News Anchor Position (WDEV)

WDEV, Vermont's News Station is looking for a news anchor. You must be dependable, a self-starter who can work independently but can collaborate with colleagues. Strong writing skills a must, compelling on-air delivery and experience in using audio and editing equipment. Use of digital and social media a must. 1-2 years experience of on-air experience or 4-year Journalism degree required.

Job Duties include:

- Co-Anchor of the Midday News Service and Anchor of Afternoon News Service

- Write News Stories

- Voice news stories for MNS

- Edit soundbites from Interviews and news partners

- Cover live news stories as needed

- Production as needed

- Occasional weekend shift

- Occasional remote broadcasts at additional compensation

Qualifications

- 2-3 years off on-air experience or a Journalism Degree required

- Strong writing background

- Background in soundbite editing

- Interviewing experience

- Strong organization skills
